This scale model replicates the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 "Daytona" Competizione #36 entered by Jacques Swaters' famed Ecurie Francorchamps at the 1972 24 Hours of Le Mans. Finished in the iconic yellow livery of the Belgian racing outfit, this V12 beast was shared by British driver Derek Bell, Belgian ace Teddy Pilette, and American racer Richard Bond.
Delivering a textbook endurance performance around the clock, the yellow #36 stayed well clear of trouble through challenging conditions and mechanical attrition. Demonstrating great pace and bulletproof reliability, the Bell / Pilette / Bond crew crossed the finish line in a remarkable 8th place overall (4th in the GT class), contributing to a historic clean sweep of top Grand Touring spots by privateer Daytonas in 1972.
