Jaguar’s D-Type #4 from Ecurie Ecosse entered racing legend at the 1956 24 Hours of Le Mans. Driven by Ron Flockhart and Ninian Sanderson, it won the race under extremely challenging conditions: rain, multiple crashes, and a soaked circuit. Featuring its famous rear fin, the D-Type showcased Jaguar’s peak technical innovation with its monocoque construction, disc brakes, and inline 6-cylinder engine.
