The Ferrari 335 S, launched in 1957, is the epitome of the legendary Italian racing car. Fitted with a magnificent 4.1-liter V12, the 335 S was designed for major endurance competitions. It made history at the 1957 Mille Miglia and is especially famous for being the first car to lap the 24 Hours of Le Mans at over 200 km/h average speed. The 335 S is also linked to the tragic accident at the Mille Miglia, which brought an end to the legendary road race.
Among its memorable stories, this Ferrari also impressed with a 2nd place in Venezuela and 4th place in the Swedish Grand Prix in 1957, helping Ferrari secure the world constructors’ title that year. Several cars were later sold to the United States and raced under the NART banner.
Today, this legendary machine is faithfully reproduced in 1/43 scale by ART.
