The OSCA Sport 750 was part of the sports car range developed by OSCA - Fratelli Maserati, founded in 1948 by the three remaining Maserati brothers: Bindo, Ettore, and Ernesto. After being forced to sell their original company Maserati S.p.A., the brothers established OSCA to continue their passion for motorsport competition.
The OSCA Sport 750, introduced around 1956-1957, was powered by a 749cc four-cylinder engine producing approximately 70-75 horsepower at 7,500-7,700 rpm. This small sports car weighed only 340 kg and was built around a lightweight tubular chassis with an aluminum body.
The period from 1952 to 1957 is considered OSCA's "Halcyon Years," when their cars regularly dominated their class. The OSCA Sport 750 was particularly competitive in the 750cc class, achieving numerous racing victories, notably participating in the 1957 24 Hours of Le Mans where it raced with drivers Jean Laroche and Rémy Radix in car number 46.
This sports car embodied the Maserati brothers' philosophy: creating highly competitive machines, hand-crafted in small batches, prioritizing pure performance over mass production.
