The Porsche 356 took part in the 1953 24 Hours of Le Mans in the 1100cc category, with two official cars entered by the factory. Despite their reputation for reliability, both 356 SLs were forced to retire after 18 hours due to engine trouble. Their participation, however, contributed to Porsche’s growing legacy in endurance racing. This car is reproduced by SPARK at 1/43 scale.
