The Porsche 907LH No. 40 took part in the official test days for the 1967 24 Hours of Le Mans, crucial sessions held before the main endurance race to prepare teams and cars. Driven by Gerhard Mitter and Jochen Rindt, this “Long Tail” version of the 907 was used by Porsche to trial aerodynamic and mechanical innovations ahead of the major race. Although the car did not compete as No. 40 in the race itself, it stood out during the test days for its speed, stability, and advanced development. The Porsche 907 later performed remarkably in the endurance season, especially at Le Mans where the model was Porsche’s top representative in the 2-liter class.

This emblematic prototype is faithfully reproduced by SPARK at 1/43 scale under reference S9240, allowing collectors to relive a key moment in Porsche’s Le Mans story.
