SPARK S8146 Aston Martin DBR5 n°19 Maurice Trintignant Silverstone 1960

At the 1960 British Grand Prix at Silverstone, Maurice Trintignant drove the Aston Martin DBR5 number 19 for the David Brown Corporation team. This race was the DBR5’s only world championship appearance. After qualifying 21st, Trintignant managed to finish 11th, five laps behind race winner Jack Brabham. Despite solid reliability and Trintignant’s consistent driving, the Aston Martin DBR5 proved less competitive than the new rear-engined F1 cars that were becoming dominant. This result marked the end of Aston Martin’s Formula 1 adventure until the modern era.​
