The Jordan 191 was the very first Formula 1 car designed by Eddie Jordan and Gary Anderson to prepare the team for its entry into Formula 1. During the winter of 1990-91, the Jordan 191 (originally named Jordan 911) was tested at Silverstone by veteran driver John Watson. Dressed in a distinctive black and yellow livery and before official drivers had been signed, the car already displayed promising potential with its carbon chassis, Ford-Cosworth V8 engine, and innovative design. These test sessions helped the team refine the project ahead of its Grand Prix debut in 1991.
