The Cooper T51 #16 driven by Masten Gregory competed in the 1960 British Grand Prix at the legendary Silverstone circuit. Gregory qualified 13th and finished in 14th place after completing 71 of the 77 laps, 6 laps behind race winner Jack Brabham (Cooper-Climax). Despite tough track conditions and strong competition, Masten Gregory brought his Cooper T51 to the finish, demonstrating the toughness of the model during a season dominated by rear-engine cars.​
