The Porsche 936/81 No. 11, driven by Jacky Ickx and Derek Bell, raced at the 1981 24 Hours of Le Mans. From the start, Ickx and Bell took the lead and were never seriously threatened throughout the dramatic race, which saw several accidents and the first-ever deployment of a pace car at Le Mans. The No. 11 Porsche ran flawlessly, ultimately winning with a remarkable margin of 14 laps over the second-placed Rondeau. This victory gave Jacky Ickx his record-breaking fifth win at Le Mans and marked the final major triumph for the Porsche 936 at the end of the Group 6 era. Result: 1st overall, with 14 laps ahead of the runner-up.
