SPARK S2333 Porsche 908/03 n°7 Monza 1000 km 1972

The Porsche 908/03 No. 7, fielded by the Reinhold Jöst team and driven by Reinhold Joest and Gerhard Schüler, competed in the legendary 1000 km of Monza on April 25, 1972. On the renowned Italian track, this lightweight and nimble machine, specially designed for fast but twisty circuits, stood out against tough competition. Thanks to the crew’s consistency and the car’s reliability, Porsche 908/03 No. 7 finished in an excellent 2nd place overall, just behind the Ferrari 312 PB of Ickx/Regazzoni, on a day marked by persistent rain. This result once again demonstrates the skill of Joest and Schüler and the 908/03’s endurance credentials.​
