At the 1991 Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka, Ayrton Senna started on the front row in his McLaren MP4/6 Honda no. 1, with Nigel Mansell as his main title contender. Mansell went off the track on lap 10 while trying to pressure Senna, which immediately secured the World Drivers’ Championship for the Brazilian.
Senna then managed the race behind team‑mate Gerhard Berger and ultimately allowed Berger to take the win on the run to the flag, finishing second and clinching his third World Championship with McLaren. This TRUESCALE 1/43 model faithfully represents the no. 1 McLaren MP4/6 as it appeared at Suzuka in this decisive Grand Prix.
