This high-precision scale model replicates the formidable Chrysler Viper GTS-R #50 campaigned at the legendary 1999 24 Hours of Le Mans under the CICA Team Oreca banner. Developed with direct Chrysler engineering support and run by Hugues de Chaunac's renowned Oreca organization, this American powerhouse ruled GT2/GTS endurance competition in the late 1990s, propelled by the immense torque of its roaring 8.0-liter naturally aspirated V10 pushing over 600 horsepower. Dressed in an aggressive red racing livery highlighted by Oreca’s signature twin white center stripes and CICA sponsorship, the #50 entry featured a unique, all-Portuguese family driver lineup made up of three brothers: Manuel Mello-Breyner, Pedro Mello-Breyner, and Tomaz Mello-Breyner.
Tackling the grueling 13.605-kilometer Circuit de la Sarthe during one of the most competitive editions in endurance history, the Portuguese brothers drove a disciplined, metronomic race amid high ambient temperatures and treacherous traffic. Unleashing the Viper's brutal straight-line speed down the Mulsanne Straight and bulletproof mechanical resilience through the night stints, the trio stayed clear of race-ending trouble. Taking the checkered flag at the conclusion of the 24-hour marathon, the #50 contender secured 15th place overall and a strong 4th place finish in the GTS class, reinforcing Oreca's category dominance. Spark's collector-grade replica features outstanding fidelity, highlighting the heavily sculpted louvers on the front clam, authentic side-exit competition exhausts, wide carbon-fiber rear wing, and crisp period race markings.
