SPARK S5580 Porsche 911 T/R Toivonen n°116 Monte Carlo 1968

The Porsche 911 T/R number 116 is a rare and iconic competition version, specially prepared for rallying and road racing in the late 1960s. Entered in the 1968 Monte Carlo Rally and driven by Pauli Toivonen and Martti Tiukkanen, it achieved an outstanding 2nd place overall, confirming Porsche’s rising strength in international rallying. Based on the 911 T, the T/R (“Touring/Racing”) version benefited from reduced weight and an engine tuned from the 911 S, producing nearly 210 horsepower and weighing less than one tonne. Its excellent handling allowed it to shine on the winding, snowy roads of Monte Carlo. This car is faithfully reproduced by Spark in 1/43 scale under reference S5580.​
