The Cooper T51 #14 driven by Stirling Moss made history by winning the 1959 Italian Grand Prix at Monza. Moss started from pole position and drove a masterful race, finishing first ahead of Phil Hill (Ferrari) and Jack Brabham (Cooper-Climax), with more than 46 seconds advantage. This victory, achieved without a tire change under the Italian sun, enabled Moss to close the gap to Brabham in the World Championship standings.
