Spark — 43TF84 | Lancia Rally 037 No. 2 (Pro Motor Sport — Winner Targa Florio 1984)
A celebrated icon of the Group B era, the Lancia Rally 037 stands as the last rear-wheel-drive car to secure the World Rally Championship. Developed by Abarth and styled by Pininfarina around a lightweight tubular spaceframe, it was powered by a supercharged Volumex inline-four producing over 325 horsepower in Evolution 2 trim. On winding asphalt roads, its balance, low center of gravity, and agility made it virtually unbeatable.
Carrying start number #2, this 037 was driven by Italian rally ace Antonio Fassina, racing under the famous moniker "Tony", co-driven by Massimo "Max" Sghedoni. Displaying masterclass car control across the challenging, sun-baked Sicilian mountain roads of the 68th Targa Florio, the crew commanded the event to finish in 1st place overall (Race Winner).
