Spark — S7747 | Ford RS200 No. 46 — Pat Doran (Pikes Peak International Hill Climb 2013)
Based on the iconic Group B rally legend of the 1980s, the Rallycross-spec Ford RS200 driven by British veteran Pat Doran (affectionately nicknamed "Rosie") was heavily re-engineered for extreme hillclimbing. Powered by a 2.4-liter BDTE turbocharged four-cylinder engine built by Julian Godfrey pushing out over 900 horsepower, it featured permanent four-wheel drive paired with a massive high-downforce aerodynamic package tailored for the thin air of the Colorado mountains.
British Rallycross legend Pat Doran took on the 91st running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in 2013 aboard car #46 in the elite Unlimited class. Tackling the fully paved 12.42-mile course up to the 14,115-foot summit, Doran delivered a dramatic and memorable performance, demonstrating the timeless speed and fury of the classic RS200 monster against modern prototypes.
