Liam Lawson, born February 11, 2002, in Hastings, New Zealand, is a New Zealand racing driver. Starting his career in karting, he won titles in Formula Ford and made a name for himself in junior formulae in Australia and Europe. As a member of the Red Bull Junior Team, Lawson progressed through Formula 2, finished runner-up in Japan’s Super Formula, and made his Formula 1 debut in 2023 with AlphaTauri as a substitute for the injured Daniel Ricciardo. He quickly earned points and impressed with his performances. Promoted to Red Bull Racing for the 2025 season, he returned to Racing Bulls after two races, continuing his early F1 journey.
