The Joest-Porsche WSC-95 n°7, driven by Manuel Reuter, Davy Jones, and Alexander Wurz, won the 1996 24 Hours of Le Mans. This victory is remarkable as the car was not a full factory prototype but a collaboration between Joest Racing and Porsche on a TWR chassis. The crew led with impressive consistency, also benefiting from reliability issues faced by the works Porsche 911 GT1s and rival prototypes. The trio completed 354 laps, maintaining the lead for almost the entire second half and securing a historic win. Alexander Wurz became the youngest-ever Le Mans winner at 22 years old.
