Spark — S9895 | Porsche 911 GT2 Evo No. 55 (Larbre Compétition — 24 Hours of Le Mans 1995)
Developed from the 993 generation, the 911 GT2 Evo stood as the ultimate air-cooled racing machine in the GT1 class, featuring ultra-wide bodywork, a massive biplane rear wing, and a 3.6-liter twin-turbo flat-six pushing nearly 600 horsepower.
Entered by French team Société Larbre Compétition as car #55, the GT2 Evo was driven by an all-French squad consisting of Pierre Yver, Jean-Louis Chéreau, and Jack Leconte. Unfortunately, amid treacherous rain-soaked conditions early in the race, their weekend came to an abrupt end following an accident, resulting in a retirement on lap 40.
