For this iconic Japanese event, AO Racing’s beloved dinosaur livery was transformed into a special samurai-themed edition dubbed "Bushi Rex".

The car was entrusted to a powerhouse factory lineup featuring Belgium's Alessio Picariello, Germany's Laurin Heinrich, and France's Julien Andlauer.   Tackling tricky, drying track conditions across the 6.5-hour endurance classic, the #8 crew executed a tactical masterclass. A fierce middle stint by Heinrich saw the Porsche slice through the top five to capture the lead with a decisive overtake. Backed by flawless pit stops and relentless stint pace from Picariello and Andlauer, the trio pulled clear of the chasing pack to secure a sensational overall victory at the Suzuka 1000km, ending a 32-year drought for Porsche at the historic Japanese endurance race.
