This collectible scale model replicates the charismatic Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV6 2.5 #44 campaigned by the legendary Italian outfit Jolly Club at the 1983 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, the blue-ribbon round of the European Touring Car Championship (ETCC). Powered by Giuseppe Busso's celebrated 2.5-liter naturally aspirated V6 coupled with a transaxle layout, this Group A touring car wore Jolly Club's world-famous competition livery featuring crisp white bodywork adorned with green and orange Totip striping. The car was entrusted to an all-Belgian driver lineup consisting of Raymond van Hove, André Lierneux, and Francis Polak.
Tackling the grueling Ardennes rollercoaster, the #44 machine ran a spirited campaign in Division 2 against heavyweight touring car machinery from BMW, Rover, and rival Alfa entries, capitalizing on the GTV6's crisp chassis balance through the Eau Rouge-Raidillon complex and high-speed Blanchimont sweepers. However, the relentless pace of the Spa 24 Hours proved unforgiving, as mechanical trouble struck over the distance, forcing the car into retirement. Released under Spark's Belgian-themed collector series, this miniature faithfully captures every nuance of the Italian coupe
