SPARK SB567 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 RS n°20 24H Spa 1992 %

Reference: Spark SB567 — Manufacturer: Spark Model (1:43 scale, resin model, Spark Belgium national series)

This collectible scale model replicates the sharp Porsche 911 Carrera 2 RS (Type 964) #20 campaigned at the 1992 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. Developed as a lightweight, competition-focused variant of the 964 platform, this purist racer was driven by an air-cooled 3.6-liter naturally aspirated flat-six producing approximately 260 horsepower, benefiting from reduced weight and razor-sharp suspension tuning. Wearing an authentic period competition livery with official race decals, the car was entrusted to a high-caliber driver lineup featuring Germany's Andy Bovensiepen, Belgian ace Didier de Radiguès (famed Grand Prix motorcycle racer and F3000 pilot), and German touring car specialist Fritz Kreutzpointner.

Taking on the demanding 6.974-kilometer Ardennes layout, the #20 contender battled in a memorable edition dominated by factory-backed BMW M3 Sport Evolutions and rival Carrera Cup machinery. Exploiting the rear-engine traction and agility of the RS through Eau Rouge, the Kemmel Straight, and Blanchimont, the trio demonstrated impressive speed in class during the opening stages. However, the relentless endurance test of Spa proved merciless, as terminal mechanical trouble forced the car into retirement. Released under Spark's exclusive Belgian national series, this miniature highlights fine collector-grade detailing, from the iconic magnesium Cup wheels and stripped-out racing interior with full roll cage to the precise period sponsors.
