Spark — S6742 | Lamborghini LM002 (1986)

Officially unveiled at the 1986 Brussels Motor Show, the Lamborghini LM002—affectionately dubbed the "Rambo Lambo"—stands as the grandfather of all modern luxury high-performance super-SUVs. Evolving from Lamborghini's ambitious rear-engine military prototypes (the Cheetah and LM001), the LM002 adopted a conventional front-engine configuration built around a rigid tubular steel chassis cloaked in aluminum and fiberglass panels. Fitted with massive custom-engineered run-flat Pirelli Scorpion tires capable of traversing desert dunes at high speeds, it combined extreme off-road capability with a handcrafted, leather-trimmed luxury cockpit.

Powering this colossal machine was none other than the legendary 5.2-liter four-valve V12 transplanted directly from the flagship Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole. Breathing through six dual-barrel downdraft Weber carburetors, the high-revving twelve-cylinder pumped out 455 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, linked to a heavy-duty 5-speed ZF manual gearbox, a two-speed transfer case, and permanent four-wheel drive with three locking differentials. Despite tipping the scales at nearly 2.7 metric tons and housing an enormous 290-liter (76-gallon) fuel tank, it charged from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds onto a top speed of 210 km/h (130 mph). With just over 300 units produced through 1993, the LM002 remains one of the boldest icons in automotive history.
