The Porsche 936 n°20, driven by Jacky Ickx and Gijs van Lennep, won the 1976 24 Hours of Le Mans. Facing strong competition from the Renault Alpine cars and overcoming various mechanical issues during the race, the team established an unassailable lead from mid-race and ultimately crossed the finish line 11 laps ahead of the second-placed Mirage Ford. This race marked the first Le Mans victory for the Porsche 936 and was Jacky Ickx’s third personal win at the event.
